A new logo for Tira Tūhāhā Prison Chaplaincy Aotearoa
We have a new image to go with our new name! In November 2022 the Board changed the name of our organisation to Tira Tūhāhā Prison Chaplaincy Aotearoa and they have just approved a new logo to go with the name.
The logo image depicts: te Wairua Tapu (Holy Spirit) represented in the manu (bird), te Paipera Tapu (Bible) -visible but subtle, the Māori motifs in the manu are reflective of our Aotearoa context, the stars can be interpreted in different ways – Matariki, the NZ flag, and the gathering up of people which is part of the meaning of Tira Tūhāhā (Tira, a group of people with a common cause traveling towards a common goal, a movement towards Tūhāhā: the ordered heavens and a place of safety, enlightenment, belonging, hope, wellbeing, security, and peace).
Thank you to our design company Creative Mouse Design Ltd for helping us shape up this logo.
